Heavy Metal

On 27 June 1987, English actor and musician Ed Westwick was born. Best known as Chuck Bass, the rakish heir to the Bass inheritance on Gossip Girl, Westwick was named one of People magazine’s Sexiest Men Alive in 2008.

His role on Gossip Girl has earned him significant fashion cred, with Entertainment Weekly naming Chuck Bass the Best Dressed TV character of 2008. For Fall 2012, Westwick fronted German label Philipp Plein’s campaign, shot by notorious photographer Terry Richardson, and made his runway debut, opening and closing the label’s show at Milan Men’s Fashion Week.

Today, a nod to said campaign with a metal-meets-prep school look.
